Changelog

What has changed, and when the values were last checked.

Two kinds of entry show up here. Value changes record any time a gemstone or fish price is altered, with the date and the reason. Site changes cover everything else. The value changes matter most. If a number you were relying on has moved, this is where you find out, instead of discovering it mid-trade.

No gemstone or fish value has ever been changed on this site. Every price published since the calculator launched in March 2021 is the price it still shows today. The table was re-checked against the game on 22 September 2026, after Pixel Worlds relaunched with its economy reset, and nothing had moved.

2026

23 September 2026: guides, FAQ and this page

  • Added three written guides: how gems work, gemstone values and fish values.
  • Added a frequently asked questions page.
  • Added this changelog.
  • Rewrote the privacy policy's consent section to describe the certified consent management platform that collects consent from visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
  • Shrank two oversized images; the byte coin icon was being served at seven times the size it displays at.
  • Enlarged the gemstone and fish sprites now that the layout had room for them.
  • sitemap.xml is now generated by the build and its date format validated, after Search Console rejected the old hand-written one over a day that was not zero-padded.

22 September 2026: the rebuild

  • Values re-verified against the game. All 25 gemstone prices confirmed unchanged following the March 2026 relaunch and economy reset.
  • Added the fish calculator: 12 species in 5 sizes, sharing the result panel, presets, breakdown and share links with the gemstone calculator.
  • Split the single page into a proper site with an about page, contact form, privacy policy, terms and disclaimer.
  • Rebuilt the calculator from scratch. The arithmetic now lives in its own tested module, checked against values captured from the previous version so the totals could not drift during the rewrite.
  • New design, dark by default with a light theme that follows your system setting.
  • Made the gems-per-byte-coin rate an input rather than a fixed 10, because it is a rate players negotiate, not a rule.
  • Whole numbers only. The old version accepted 2.5 gemstones and produced a misleading total.
  • Fixed a long-standing bug where clicking into a quantity field wiped whatever was in it. Fixed another where typed quantities were never saved at all, since only the plus and minus buttons persisted anything.
  • Removed a block of hidden keyword text that had been in the page since 2022.
  • Dropped jQuery, Bootstrap and a web font, taking roughly 365 KB off the page.
  • Accessibility pass: labelled every input, added a step-by-step breakdown of the calculation, and checked every colour pair against WCAG AA.

Reporting a value that has changed

If the game pays you something different from what this site says, that's the most useful message we can get. Send it through the contact form or to mahdikomaiha@gmail.com with the item, the size, what the site shows and what you were actually paid. We'll check it, and if it holds up the value changes here with an entry on this page saying what moved and when.
