Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Pixel Worlds Gemstone Calculator (“this site”) collects, why it collects it, and what choices you have. This site is a free, unofficial fan tool operated by Mahdi AL Komaiha. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
The short version
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your gemstone quantities are never sent to us or to anyone else — they are saved only on your own device. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell data. The site does serve third-party advertising, and advertising partners may set cookies in your browser. Everything below is the detail behind those statements.
Information you give us directly
The only place this site asks you for personal information is the contact form. If you choose to use it, you submit your name, your email address and your message. That submission is processed by Netlify, the hosting provider for this site, and forwarded to the site owner so that your message can be read and answered.
We use that information for one purpose only: replying to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share it. You can ask us to delete your message and your details at any time by emailing mahdikomaiha@gmail.com.
You can always contact us by email instead of using the form, in which case only your email provider and ours are involved.
Local storage on your device
The calculator uses your browser’s localStorage to remember the
gemstone quantities you have entered, so that your numbers are still there when you come
back. This is stored under the key gems.
This data stays on your device. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted to our servers, and neither we nor any third party can read it remotely. It contains nothing but the numbers you typed into the calculator. You can erase it at any time by using the Reset control on the calculator, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
Information collected automatically
Like almost all websites, this site is served by a host that keeps standard server logs. Our host, Netlify, records information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the time of the request. These logs exist for security and for diagnosing technical problems. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to measure and target advertising.
This site distinguishes between two kinds of cookies:
- Essential cookies and storage. These are needed for the site to function or to remember a choice you have made — for example, remembering that you have responded to our cookie notice. These are always active.
- Non-essential cookies. These are set by advertising and analytics partners. They are not required for the calculator to work, and they are only set after you consent to them.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies entirely the calculator will still work, although some features that remember your preferences may not.

You have several options:

Opting out does not remove advertising from the site. It means the advertising you see is less likely to be tailored to you.

Analytics
This site may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are used and how the site performs, in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information such as your approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you viewed.
Analytics is treated as a non-essential technology on this site: it is loaded only after you have consented to non-essential cookies, and not at all if you decline. We use the results only in aggregate, to decide what to improve. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
You may additionally install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Children’s privacy
Pixel Worlds has a young audience, and so may this site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not ask visitors for personal details in order to use the calculator, and the only form on the site is the contact form.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent us personal information through the contact form, email mahdikomaiha@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
How long we keep information
Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter you raised, and are deleted on request. Server logs are retained by our host under its own retention schedule. Data in your browser’s localStorage stays until you clear it.
Links to other sites
This site links to external sites, including the official Pixel Worlds site, community resources, and advertisers. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of any site we link to. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to withdraw consent you have previously given. Because this site collects almost nothing, in practice this usually means your contact form message. To exercise any of these rights, email mahdikomaiha@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example if we add or remove an advertising or analytics partner. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted on the calculator page.
